How to keep your job, keep your facebook account and still impress your boss !!
They may not seem true … but yes, rest assured that our bosses are also human.
Which is probably why they too have Face book accounts.
Many employees out there fail to see that you can use your boss’s human weakness to gain recognition and move forward in the company.
Here’s how it should be done.
A) Find your boss on FB and send him a request. Just a casual request- don’t sent him a message reminding him that you are his employee.
B) Ignore him on FB after he accepts you. That is, don’t make any direct comments on his profile etc.
C) Make a careful study of his profile and his friends. Are there any groups that he is interested in ? Then join then right away.
D) Several weeks after you join the same group you may see a comment he has made on the group regarding something related to that matter. Put in your comment supporting him (but not too enthusiastically) . This should ideally be your first contact with him on FB.
E) Does he play any games on FB? If he’s into games like Barn Buddy then chances are he’s trying to get other people to join in so that he can move up in the game. So start playing the game and try to build contact with him.
F) Remember what we discussed about any FB groups he may have joined? Find something really interesting on that subject and mail it to him via FB mail. Or better yet tag him to it.
G) Find out what school he went to and join its fan club. Pretend that you didn’t know that he’s an old boy. If he ever asks you why he joined then tell him that you had a relative ( a really old one who wouldn’t have been at school with your boss) who was an old boy
H) Use these ties to exchange a civil word or two with him at the office.
But however always respect the most important rule of them all,
NEVER DO ANY OF THIS FB STUFF DURING OFFICE HOURS, NOT EVEN IF YOUR BOSS LOGS INTO FB DURING OFFICE TIME !!!!!
